My opinion: Seeing the stats is proof – this is the best neighborhood in Brentwood. Okay, I am a little biased since I live here…. At Christmas the neighbors decorate their courts together and string lights across the streets so you feel like you’re driving into a winter wonderland. In the summer, well, let’s just say that there is a party going at any point – family bbqs, neighborhood block parties and more. I believe the easy walk to downtown lends itself to high participation in the local goings-on, since most of the neighbors can be spotted at the Starry Nights series in the park every Friday during the summer. Kids everywhere, and there are families biking and walking all the time.
Seems like every third house is for sale, and by the “grass indicators” I would say a lot of bank owned. By the stats they are being quickly snatched up, a good sign that the houses are moving again. There also appears to be a higher number of folks who can’t let go of Christmas, so this area is a target for Christmas in July, where I’ll be asking all the homes who have lights to go ahead and plug them in.
Great pride in ownership in this area, with many homes sporting high end landscaping. There are a lot of pickups in this neighborhood, why do you suppose?

Did you know……
Garin Ranch is named after HP Garin Company, who came to Brentwood in 1926 and leased 600 acres. In 1929 the Garin company had 3 packing sheds in Brentwood, 22 cottages for employees, shipped 794 boxcard loads of fruits and vegatables and were the first to use refrigerated boxcars.
By 1935 the Garin Company controlled more than 30,000 acres and in 1969 Garin Elementary School was built on First Street to honor HP Garin Company…….
