Visit Harvest Time, a non-profit organization promoting local agriculture, and grab your copy of the annual farm trail map with a list of over 40 growers who sell directly to the consumer.  An edible-treasure map.

Corn is coming, can you feel it?

Similar to the celebration of Maize by ancient (and current!) Latin civilizations, we residents of Brentwood take time during Cornfest every July to raise a cob to salute local farmers and the gods of fertility, thankful for their generous bounty.  Do you think that someday people will look back and study our celebration?  I took a drive down Sellers today and the corn is looking good.  Nunn better, in fact.
